When it All Began cont. (how we met)

I got a phone call from my friend Jennifer asking me to go eat with them for their daughters birthday. Of course i said yes. Well i asked who all was going and she said her and her husband and the kids, and her friends golfing buddy. Now i dont know if its just me but at that moment when i think golfing buddy i think about an older man. Well when i show up at Jennifer's house, i walk in the door and i see this very good looking young man sitting on the couch. He was on the phone and i heard him say, "Yes mom i got my tooth brush." The only thing running through my head was YES! he's a mamma's boy. Shortly after i arrived Jennifer's husbands cousin (which is my  ex/ best friend) showed up to go with us. We left to go eat, the men in one car and the women in another. When we got to Logan's, Sean and I sat all the way across the table from each other. My ex told me to get whatever i wanted and that he would pay. Jennifer told him no. She knew what he was trying to do. Sean and I did not exchange any words during dinner, just smiles across the table. On our way back to their house we stopped at a store and since i had my daughter in the car i asked if one of the guys could grab me a pack of cigarettes while they were inside. My ex went in the store with the mindset that he was gonna get them for me, but while he was in the bathroom Sean went and got them for me (which pissed my ex off). After everyone was back in the cars we left headed to Jennifer's house. On the way there she asked me for my phone. She text Sean from my phone to give him my number and i didnt even know it. When we got back to their house i sat down on the couch and expected Sean to sit beside me, which didnt happen as planned. My ex came over and sat down beside. For the next couple of hours, every time my ex would get up Sean would sit down and vice versa. Sean and i did not speak very much that night until i walked outside to leave. He came outside with me while my ex was standing on the porch waiting on him to go back in. We talked outside for a minute then i left. We text each other all night that night. I was so happy for the first time in a while. We decided to go see a movie the next night so my mom agreed to watch my daughter long enough for us to go. When we got to the theater we decided to watch Hot Tub Time Machine. I waited and waited for him to kiss me during the movie but he never did. I finally looked at him and said "are you gonna kiss me?" and at that moment we shared our first kiss. It was the most romantic kiss i had ever had. We continued talking for a couple days and decided to start dating. We had such a strong connection with each other, it was perfect. My mother loved him to death. I hadn't met his family yet and i was scared to because his grandfather is a preacher and i was an 18 year old mother. Well my fear quickly surpassed because i fell in love with his family. They welcomed me and my daughter with open arms and treated us like one of their own. I fell in love with Sean very quick and wasn't sure how to handle it. But everything was perfect between us. I graduated high school in May 2010 and started college in August 2010. Then when he left in October for boot camp it was the worst time in my life. I cried a lot while he was gone but i stayed strong and waited on his return. My first semester of college was over the middle of December.  I went to Chicago with his family to watch his graduation from boot camp. When i finally got to have my arms around him again everything was okay. We opened presents on Christmas morning at my moms and then we went to his family's christmas at his grandmothers. The last present they picked up was for me. It was a big box and i had no idea who it was from. I sat down in the chair and started opening it. Sean walked up and stood in front of me as i opened the big box only to find a smaller box, and inside that box was a smaller box, and when i opened that last little box there sat a little black velvet box. When i took it out Sean reached over and took it from me. He said, "This comes with a very serious question" then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of his entire family. I was completely shocked. I said yes of course. I was shaking to bad for him to put the ring on my finger. After christmas had come and gone it was time for him to leave for South Carolina. I was not happy about that at all. We decided to get married on May 21,2011. My mother, his family, and I were handling all of the wedding plans. After we had booked the place for the wedding and the reception, Sean calls me and tells me that his leave date got changed and that we had to change the date of the wedding. I went into panic mode fast. We had to get our money back that we had already put down on the wedding and reception site and we had to find a different place and date for everything. We then decided to get married on April 30,2011 and to have the wedding at his grandmother's and the reception at the Country Club. Everything was falling into place. I found the perfect wedding dress. I was a very happy bride to be. The day of the wedding was very hectic. We were using the stereo equipment from the church for music during the ceremony. We had our list of music on an i pod and it worked perfectly. The ceremony was beautiful. We headed over to the country club for the reception and when we got there everything was going as planned. Until it was time to start dancing. We could not get the i pod to work with the stereo equipment, so we did not have any of the music played that we wanted played. not even for our first dance. I didnt panic though. everyone just went and grabbed cd's out of their cars and thats what we used. I was so happy because i was finally married to the man of my dreams. Two days after we got married he had to go back to South Carolina to start getting everything set up with housing.I finished my second semester of college and completed the Basic EMS course. But i never took my National Registry. Then finally I made the 380 some odd mile trip from Alabama with my mother, mother-in-law, and his aunt helping out with the move. Sean was at work when we got in that afternoon and we had almost everything unloaded before he got home. After our family left to go back home we finally got to start our lives together, just Sean, Whitney, and I. We are very happy to be together finally and we cherish every moment we get to spend as a family because we know that our chances are gonna be few and far between later on down the road. Now, i did not tell everyone my life story so people can talk about me. I told my story to prove that even if you do get delt a tough hand in life you can always make it through. I got pregnant the end of my junior year and was out of school for almost four months. I graduated 12th in my class with all A's and B's, I was a member of the Beta club and i completed three years of cosmetology. I went through a lot in my past and i finally found the love of my life and i am going to do everything i can to keep him happy. I wanted to let everyone, especially the young ladies that are faced with becoming young mothers, you CAN raise your child AND finish school. I did it and i know anyone else can to. You just have to keep your head in the right place and remember that God is ALWAYS their to help you out. You just have to be willing to listen!
